 Reflective Shell sets the character's Base Attack stat to 0 before any stat modifiers. It allows the user to absorb up to 2 damage, and for every damage absorbed, the user gain +2 Attack stat, up to a maximum of +4. Reflective Shell can only be used when the user is on the defending side.
