Awakening of Talent (才気覚醒 Saiki kakusei) is a Boost-type Hyper Card in 100% Orange Juice. It is owned by Sora (Military).
Additional Information
Awakening of Talent allows the user to roll 5 across all their actions until their turn ends, which works similarly to Extraordinary Specs. This allows the user to catch up to another player, gain a good amount of stars when landed on a Bonus Panel, and have an advantage on battles due to the consistently high dice rolls. Awakening of Talent can also be used as a Battle Card, which serves as a surprise counter card when the user is defending.
The versatility of Awakening of Talent allows for more card combinations in just a single turn, such as Boost Cards like Gentleman's Battle or Ambush, or Event Cards like Little War or Super All-Out Mode, and then using the Hyper during battle. However, since the user only rolls a 5 during battles, they might be put on a situation where they would have done better from a roll of 6, such as defending at 3 HP while their opponent rolls an 8 for Attack.
Awakening of Talent can be considered as an alternate version of Extraordinary Specs. Awakening of Talent trades Extraordinary Specs's high power and long effect duration for ease of use and versatility, at the cost of shorter duration and lower roll.
